Could a new understanding of silicon surfaces someday revolutionize semiconductor technologies?
Joseph Demuth
Joseph Demuth was an early surface science researcher at the Thomas J Watson Research Center, starting in 1972. In 1993 he became a program manager for the IBM Corporation in Armonk and retired in 2002. In 2018, 25 years after leaving science, he returned to reconsider a few of the unusual experimental results in his field that were never understood.
