Metal forming has, for many years, been a vitally important branch of industry. It encompasses some of the most efficient methods of shaping metals and alloy. Metal forming products are used in almost all areas of our life, from ships and aircraft, to washing machines and computers, hip prosthesis and needles. Therefore, metal forming attracts the interest of scientists and researchers all around the world.
This special edition of steel research international contains papers presented at the 14th Metal Forming International Conference, which was held in Kraków, Poland on September 16 – 19, 2012. Metal Forming 2012 was organized in Kraków, Poland, by Akademia Górniczo-Hutnicza, together with the University of Toyohashi and, for the first time, by the University of Palermom, which has joined the organization team. The next Metal Forming conference will take place in Palermo, Italy in 2014.
The papers published in this edition represent the state-of-the-art in the field of metal forming science and technology, and are free to download at MaterialsViews.
